This is the very first of YOUR flags that we flew over the Bonecrusher Command Post.
(Please excuse the black squares, they are called “redactions”, and they protect the identities of the three NCOs of the Color Detail – they are active operators, and also my friends, and I will go overboard to protect their identities. Read the book in a few years, and you’ll probably get to see the original photos. I hope that I haven’t taken away from the fact that this ceremony was conducted with great pride.)
