We call things by different names here… Some are obvious, and some reflect the uncanny ability of a grunt to pervert derned near anything… Here are a few words, and their definitions:
Musket: A regular sized M16 series rifle, unlike the sleek, sexy, and short M4s we carry.
Fobbit: Anyone whose primary mission is inside the wire.
Fobgoblin: Anyone whose primary mission is inside the wire, but they carry loaded weapons to protect the fobbits from real soldiers.
Fob-runner: Any vehicle used exclusively inside the wire. For the civilian contractors, it’s brand new SUVs and pick-up trucks; for soldiers, old guntrucks that just can’t take it anymore…
Gay: An overabundance of rules and regulations, probably thought up by some fobbit trying to justify his or her position, lest they be found out and have to find a real job.
Jail: Where you go if you even say “Hello” to the opposite sex, if the EO-types had their way.
